Piezoelectric force sensors

Piezoelectric force and strain sensors are durable measuring sensors with exceptional properties for measuring dynamic force and strain. Typical measurements include dynamic and quasi-static forces occurring during activation, compression, impact, impulse, reaction, and tension.

Since the measurement signal is generated by a quartz crystal, the signal will decay over time during long static force measurements. Short-term or "quasi-static" measurements are possible within certain time limits, depending on the sensor and signal conditioning used.
